Emmerdale seemingly turned into Jurassic Park this week as fans were left a little distracted watching Tuesday’s (March 19) episode of the ITV soap due to the size of some poorly animals.
Dogs and rabbits, before you ask, not dinosaurs.
(Yet)
A storyline that aired yesterday focused on Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper), Tom (James Chase) and wedding planner Suzy (Martelle Edinborough).
Belle was working as a receptionist at the vets and was left alone due to Tom attending a call with Rhona (Zoe Henry).
When Suzy entered, it became apparent she was searching for Rhona, but fans struggled to focus on what she was saying due to the size of some pets waiting in the lobby area for their appointments!
It’s certainly possible the writers stayed up a little too late watching the Jurassic Park series, or maybe even Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, but the small scene absolutely had an impact, as Emmerdale audience members were taken aback when Suzy tried to move past a giant rabbit and a massive dog.
‘The animal cast booker: “Yes can we have the largest dog and largest rabbit in the world please”‘, one fan joked on X.
Another echoed the humour and wondered: ‘Did they order the biggest animals they could find?!’
Following the dramatic cow stampede in the village back in 2022 and now this, how long will it be until the animals of the Dales take centre stage in a storyline?!
