GOODBYE ‘I’ll miss this’ sighs Emmerdale favourite as they reveal sudden plans to leave village after major ordeal
Even her own family were baffled by the news
EMMERDALE viewers and villagers alike were left surprised when a central character suddenly revealed her plans to hit the road.
The Dingle and Milligan families had met up for pints when she let slip about her departure.
When Caleb made fun of his brother Cain in The Woolpack, Chas joked: “Aw, you know what? I’m going to miss this – not a lot, but a little!”
Her siblings were left open-mouthed and demanded to know what she meant.
The pub owner airily admitted she was thinking of visiting Cain’s daughter Debbie in Scotland.
Moira and Cain were shocked to hear the news, and asked how long she had been planning the trip for.

“Well, since I spoke to her earlier, it was her idea if I’m honest! I really need this,” the mum shared.
Chas Dingle has been going through a hard time on Emmerdale ever since she was diagnosed with breast cancer – the same disease that killed her mother.
She made the difficult decision to get a double mastectomy, unlike her mum who refused treatment, choosing to end her life instead.
Ever since her health battle fans have been worried that Chas was on the verge of being written out of the soap, and they will no doubt face the same fear after hearing about her impromptu Scotland trip.

But actress Lucy Pargeter is determined to hang onto the role, as she previously confessed: “I don’t think I will ever make the decision to leave myself.
“They’ll have to write me out, but even then they’d have to drag me out kicking and screaming! I’ve got a job that I love and I’ll stay as long as they’ll have me.”
Despite having carefully planned her journey up north, and arranging that her daughter Eve would stay with Paddy Dingle, Chas had her trip jeopardised by Ruby Fox-Milligan and Moira Dingle.
The sisters-in-law started feuding over Moira splashing Ruby while driving through a puddle.
Things escalated and the pair nearly got into a fist fight.
Chas warned them that she would not be able to leave for Scotland the next day if they did not come to an agreement, prompting them to pretend they’d buried the hatchet.
