Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle star Eden Taylor-Draper has shared her co-stars’ sweet and secret tradition.

The actress, 26, has played Belle on the hit ITV soap since 2005 and next year, in 2025, she will be celebrating 20 years in the Yorkshire village. Appearing on Monday’s Lorraine, guest host Christine Lampard asked Eden about the milestone and her celebration plans.

Eden said of her upcoming 20-year ITV soap anniversary: “I feel like, as the Dingles, we’ve kind of started this thing where when you get to a big anniversary, you get an engraved bracelet from the Dingles. So I really want, I want that bracelet! There’s only a few, James [Hooton, who plays Sam Dingle], Jeff [Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle], Jane [Cox, who played Lisa Dingle] had one, so I feel like I want to be in the gang, I’m nearly there!”

It comes as the ITV soap is tackling a coercive control storyline with Belle, and fans have seen Tom King isolating and manipulating his partner. With his vile behaviour worsening recently and him having her under surveillance, it’s been revealed that the character will soon turn violent in a heartbreaking development.

While new spoilers also tease “terrifying” scenes on the way at a dinner party, when we see a glimpse of what Belle faces at home. Only recently, Tom has been pressurising Belle to start a family with him but the latter isn’t ready for it, as she wants to focus on her career and is also concerned it could impact her mental health.

On Friday’s episode, Tom made Belle, who reluctantly agreed to try for a baby, throw her contraceptive pill in the bin as he menacingly said: “Well, you won’t be needing the pill anymore!” However, when Tom headed to the shop, Belle quickly fished the tablets out and hid them in the kitchen but is it only a matter of time until Tom finds them?

Emmerdale airs every week night at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
