ITV Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Liam’s plan as he’s left rocked by Ella’s baby bombshell

Emmerdale’s Ella Forster dropped her baby bombshell on ex Liam Cavanagh on Monday night.

Last week, the hit ITV soap aired Ella’s dramatic return to the village just weeks on after her killer secret was exposed and she scarpered from The Dales, leaving love interest Liam rocked. On Thursday, a mysterious figure was seen watching the village and later Mandy Dingle was left panicked over an intruder at home, realising it was Ella.

A fragile Ella admitted she was back to collect the rest of her things and when she left, Mandy was conflicted as she misses their friendship. However, later on in a harrowing twist, Ella was involved in a car crash as Dawn Fletcher crashed her vehicle after she was accidentally spiked by her estranged mother Rose Jackson. Sam Dingle stumbled upon the wreckage and he called an ambulance for the two unconscious characters.

Later at the hospital Ella was left tearful as she realised she had no one to come support her in the ward. However, in a sweet surprise, Mandy showed up after learning from Sam about the car crash. It wasn’t long until Ella confided in her friend, revealing: “It turns out, I’m pregnant…” as Mandy was left stunned over the bombshell. Later, Mandy asked: “So it’s definitely Liam’s then?” with Ella confirming: “There’s no one else it could be!”

On Monday’s episode, Liam spotted Ella in the village looking unwell as he insisted on taking her to the doctor’s surgery as he worried about her wellbeing following the car crash. This forced Ella to admit she is pregnant with his baby as he stormed off. Later, at the pub, Liam was left shell-shocked as he downed a shot of whiskey and as Ella entered the pub, the doctor blurted out the news, leaving fellow punters and love interest Chas Dingle stunned.

Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers have been predicting want Liam will do next. One person said: “I guess Liam will try and get full custody #Emmerdale” while another added: “This will be a custody fight story #Emmerdale.” Later in the week, things go from bad to worse when Ella is left saddened over Liam’s angry reaction, especially when he refuses to answer his door to her.

Meanwhile, Chas supports Liam as he struggles to comprehend the concept of being a father again. It’s not long until Ella’s best friend Mandy gets involved and gives Liam a piece of her mind. Later, Ella is humiliated when Liam forces her to do a pregnancy test to ensure she’s telling the truth…
