Emmerdale’s Chas Dingle star Lucy Pargeter is reportedly “engaged to be married” to her secret boyfriend of three years.
The 47-year-old actress, who has played Chas in the Dales since 2002, has flashed a massive diamond ring on her ring finger, sparking engagement rumours. Taking to Instagram to share a video of herself unwrapping a new painting, Lucy could be seen wearing the massive sparkler.
Commenting on the snap, one person said: “Is that a beautiful diamond [ring emoji] on your third finger left hand?” Lucy responded with a thinking emoji and a smiling emoji, further ramping up suspicion. While other people commented on how “beautiful” Lucy looked, and also how “amazing” she is.
Lucy has not officially announced that she is engaged, but speculation is rife. She also has not revealed who her secret partner is, with her revealing in 2022: “I’m in a new relationship now. Exclusive. Don’t say anything.” The Chas Dingle star shares three daughters with her ex Rudi. Lucy split from football coach Rudi Coleano in 2019.

The pair had been engaged for 12 years but never got married. While they were together, the pair welcomed three daughters Lola, who is now 18, and seven-year-old twins Missy and Betsy who were conceived via IVF. The pair announced that although they had separated, they would remain focused on raising their daughters. “Lucy Pargeter has confirmed she has separated from her long-term partner, Rudi Coleano, and, while no longer together, their main priority is raising their three daughters,” a statement said, at the time in 2019.
The same year that Lucy split from Rudi, she confessed that she had undergone the removal of her breast implants because they had stopped her from breathing properly. Although she later went on to reveal that after she had them removed, she felt as though her confidence was impacted.
Lucy said: “Massive fear for me being a single mother of three, possibly finding someone else to spend the rest of my life with and thinking, ‘oh my god, the first thing I’m going to have to say is I’ve got no t*ts. I used to have tits, so imagine me with t*ts, but now I’ve got no t*ts’.” Although, she has since revealed her mystery man always reassures her: “I constantly find myself apologising for having no t*ts, but he’s like, ‘I don’t give a [bleep] if you’ve got t*ts or not. It’s you that I love and it’s you who I want to be with.”
