Emmerdale star Sammy Winward ‘cut ties’ with daughter over OnlyFans career
Mia Dunn, 19, says she hasn't spoken to her famous mum Sammy Winward in four months, and that the rest of her family have also distanced themselves from her
Emmerdale’s Sammy Winward has reportedly stopped talking with her daughter, Mia, who has been cashing in by sharing racy photos on OnlyFans.
The 19-year-old alleged she’s been out of touch with her celeb mum for around four months due to a disagreement. She claims the familial rift extends beyond her mother to other relatives including her father. Sammy is known for playing Katie Sugden between 2001 and 2015.
Earning a hefty monthly sum from the adult subscription-based site, the young influencer is eager to mend fences with her mother. Mia claimed: “She said some pretty mean things when we did last speak, it was awful. But I absolutely love my mum, I love all of my family but none of them speak to me now.”
In addition, she disclosed tensions with her father, ex-Blackburn Rovers footballer David Dunn: “I think they’re just being protective of me. It’s not been nice and some of the conversations we had before we stopped talking weren’t great.”, reports the Daily Star.

Despite the string of challenges, Mia remains hopeful, expressing to The Sun: “But I will always love and appreciate them. I hope that one day we can rebuild our relationship and move on.” Mia, who alongside Sammy appeared on Loose Women last year discussing aspirations in acting, turned to OnlyFans this year after friends recommended the platform.
Mia, who initially started her career as a makeup artist after finishing school, now claims to earn ten times her previous income. The young woman says she feels “so empowered” on the site because she’s her “own boss” and is confident in her work.
However, she doesn’t see herself staying on the platform indefinitely. She plans to do it for just a few years before transitioning into the property business. She believes this will “give her the freedom not to work rather than being stuck in a nine-to-five”. Mia’s mum was a huge hit among Emmerdale fans.
She had played stable manager Katie in the long-running soap for over a decade. She joined the soap when she was only 15 years old, but her character was killed when Katie died after falling through rotten floorboards after being pushed to the ground by ex-lover Robert Sugden. Sammy then quit acting to become an acting teacher.
