Louise Jameson’s character, Mary Goskirk, was recently involved in a love triangle with a younger woman, Suzy Merton. Addressing the age-gap relationship, the actress revealed that it wasn’t the best idea and that she worried about the generation gap. Despite this, she insists her character is a great match with Suzy.
In February, their romance sparked, but Mary’s heart was broken when Suzy’s ex, Vanessa Woodfield, returned. The newly returned was determined to win back her ex. Now, Louise has told The Mirror about the plot’s revival, where the former couple reunites. She teased, “Maybe a love triangle!”
She speculated that Mary could end up with Suzy but admitted she wasn’t sure what would happen next, though she believed they were a ‘good match.’ The actress expressed, “In real life, I would worry about the age gap.” She suggested it might not be a great idea if one is old enough to be the other’s mother.
However, she acknowledged that age differences occur in many relationships and ultimately depend on the individuals involved. Discussing the script’s timeline, she revealed, “There’s going to be a love life storyline, but I don’t know when.” She noted that the writers were keeping her in suspense.
Viewers must know this came after Mary’s heartbreaking breakup with Faye Helders. Since then, she has been trying to move on. The pair met in early 2023 after Mary came out as a lesbian. However, later, Faye shockingly turns out to be a fraud and even attacks Mary.
