Emmerdale’s Jeff Hordley ‘lets slip’ who survives barn fire as Cain rushes to save Moira
Emmerdale spoilers have confirmed that multiple residents of the village are set to be involved in a devastating barn fire, with lives on the line as the flames spread
Emmerdale’s set to be ablaze with drama as a barn fire threatens to take out some of the soap’s fan favourites this week. Ruby and Moira are trapped amidst the inferno, with Mackenzie and Cain in a mad dash to their rescue.
Caleb, Nate, and newcomer John Sugden are all tangled up in the fiery fiasco too but who will die?
Spilling the behind-the-scenes details, Jeff shared: “Cain arrives to this scene having just found out that Moira and Nate have been up to no good in his eyes. He’s just found out that Moira’s now in a barn that’s burning.”
Chipping in about his role in the chaos, Lawrence, who plays Mackenzie, dished: “I was just doing bits out in the field for Moira and I see it smoking and I realise something is wrong and I run in to try and save Moira.”
But hold on, Jeff’s gone and dropped a spoiler bomb about the aftermath of the blaze, hinting at who makes it out alive, reports the Express. “With Cain and Moira I think there’s more to come, the aftermath of this is not just going to be ‘we saved you from the fire thank goodness you’re alive’ because there’s things to unpick and questions to be asked I think,” he said.
So did Jeff just give us the wink that Moira and Cain escape the flames? And does this mean we should worry for Ruby, Nate, and Caleb?
Beth, known for her role as Ruby on the show, spilled: “There isn’t much reasoning with her and it all happens very quickly. First of all, Moira shoots the gun and it hits the light. And oil has spilled over the floor from when she was in a strange daze spilling oil all over her hands. Then I go to get the gun off her, we have a bit of a tussle and I get whacked and knocked unconscious by the gun.”
Moira’s recent odd behaviour, even having had a seizure, hasn’t gone unnoticed. Discussing her character’s troubling symptoms, Natalie explained: “She’s definitely unsettled by it. She’s clearly convinced it’s partly menopause, but what starts to worry her is the way she’s reacting, different outbursts; she can’t control her anger at the minute.
“And she’s having a little bit of a drink as well, so we don’t know if that is a contribution to it also, but [she] is not drinking as much as maybe the audience are led to believe. And there lies the interesting stuff to come.”
