Abused Belle Dingle shattered in Emmerdale as vile husband Tom King destroys Lisa’s ashes
Tom King’s (James Chase) behaviour spiralled once more in Thursday’s (March 21) episode of Emmerdale as an angry outburst saw him destroy Lisa Dingle’s (Jane Cox) ashes.
This week, Tom grew annoyed at Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) when she started working at Take a Vow. For Tom, one small reminder he isn’t in complete control of the relationship and his wife prompts him to commit vile and horrific behaviour – and Belle developing her career was another example of that.
Ultimately, after disrupting Belle’s work and telling a wedding client about Leyla’s (Roxy Shahidi) past addiction to cocaine, Tom was successful in making his wife’s first day at her new job a disaster.
In tonight’s episode of the ITV soap, it was the day after Marlon’s (Mark Charnock) birthday.
At the Dingle household, some of the family – and Tom – were busy decorating the house for a surprise party.
When Marlon and Rhona (Zoe Henry) arrived, the afternoon quickly descended into chaos.
The dynamic was made tense and awkward due to Mandy (Lisa Riley) confronting Paddy (Dominic Brunt) about him kissing Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and for Tom, the loud personalities from the Dingle clan were winding him up.
Outside, Tom was getting some air. When Belle arrived, it wasn’t long until he was disrespecting the Dingles by saying they have ‘tiny brains’.
To make Belle feel even worse, Tom addressed her comments about him being involved in the wedding client cancelling the deal.
After calling Belle a ‘human pinball’ an angry Tom turned around and kicked an urn – which was storing Lisa’s ashes.
Belle fell to her knees and looked at the scene. She was devastated and didn’t know what to do – her mum’s ashes were everywhere.
Despite being aware of how upset Belle was, Tom failed to comfort her. After leaving the party, he said she wouldn’t be allowed in his clean car due to her jeans and coat being covered in mud.
Tom got in the vehicle and wondered why Belle wasn’t moving, but she didn’t want to be anywhere near him – she said she would walk home after all.
‘You’re being stupid’, Tom said.
‘Yeah, I’m starting to think so too’, Belle wondered.
