BABY BLUES ‘Make it end!’ plead Emmerdale fans at ‘terrible’ Rhona baby storyline ‘bound to run for a whole year’

EMMERDALE fans have pleaded with bosses to end Rhona Goskirk’s ‘terrible’ baby storyline which they fear is ‘bound to run for a whole year’.

The storyline kicked off last year when Rhona’s ex Gus turned up and asked if he and his wife Lucy could use the embryos he and Rhona had frozen while together so that he could have a baby with his new wife.

Rhona refused but Gus went ahead and forged her signature on the paperwork to allow the couple to use the embryos and Lucy became pregnant.

However, Lucy died in November leaving Gus to look after his baby daughter Ivy.

Rhona stepped in to help but grew increasingly attached to the tot, who is technically hers, and ended up running away with her after Gus said he was moving abroad with Ivy.

Rhona was subsequently arrested for kidnap and the latest episodes of Emmerdale have seen the former couple trying to negotiate a way forward.

On Monday, Rhona considered giving Gus another chance at friendship, despite husband Marlon telling her not to trust her ex.

Sure enough, the chef was proven right when Rhona discovered Gus’ true intentions and how he was stringing her along in his bid to still leave the country with Ivy.

Upset, Rhona told Marlon that she still wanted to take on Gus in court and that she may decide to plead not guilty to the kidnapping.

However, Emmerdale viewers seem to have grown tired of the twists and turns in the storyline.

Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one wrote: “This Rhona and Gus storyline is terrible, so it’s bound to run for over a year.”

Another added: “Please make this Ivy storyline end.”

A third moaned: “Who else is pig sick of the Rhona/Gus/IVF story.”

Meanwhile a fourth tweeted: “How much more of this c**p Rhona/Gus/Ivy storyline do we have to suffer?”

Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
