Despite vigorously denying any wrongdoing to those who asked, behind closed doors, it was uncovered that she had stashed away bundles of cash and a trove of expensive jewelry.

She then went on a spending spree, attributing it to a payout from the cruise company. She splurged on designer shoes and bags, though she made sure to pass them off as knockoffs to those around her.

Meanwhile, Kerry has been bombarded with angry messages from someone fed up with her antics. But true to her style, she’s just been ignoring them.

But it looks like it’s fast approaching crunch time as she’s forced to make a big decision.

She must part with her beloved diamond necklace.

Actress Laura told Metro.co.uk: “From her point of view, she just wants to have fun and live her life and be with a family.

“But I can tell she’s just in that mode where she’s just going to make a bad decision after bad decision after bad decision.”

The 40-year-old returned to the ITV soap after taking time off to look after her two babies.

Talking about her return, she revealed: “It’s been a mixture of emotions. Just a real mixed bag of being excited to see everyone, excited to be back at work and doing what I love.

“And then the fear of being away from the children, and missing them and wanting to know what they’re doing every second of the day, because I’m obsessed with them!

“Thankfully she says they’re all getting into their ‘new routine now’ as we’re hoping Kerry isn’t going anywhere for a long while yet!”

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
