SOAP fans couldn’t believe Hayley Tamaddon’s real age as she celebrated her birthday.
The actor took to Instagram yesterday with a heartfelt birthday post about her achievements throughout the years.
Hayley wrote on her social media post: “So today I turn 47. And even though I’m poorly.. and haven’t been able to celebrate… I DO want to celebrate turning 47.. because I am proud of myself..
“Im proud of how far I’ve come, and what I’ve achieved.. and how much I’ve learnt and grown .. especially in the past few years.
Im also very lucky.
“I have got the best friends a girl could wish for.. who have made today special for me – even though I’m ill and can’t see any of them.. And the best family in the world.
“Who I couldn’t live without. So yeah I might be ill… but I’m happy.. Happy being another year older. Let’s see what 47 brings.”
One fan commented: “You look fab for 47. More like 37!!”
Another added: “Happy birthday, you look incredible !!! Can’t believe you are 47 . Get well soon.”
A third penned: “Happy Bday, How Are You 47, You Don’t Look It xxx.”
A fourth wrote: “Happy birthday Hayley. You look so much younger than 47!”
Hayley is best known for portraying Del Dingle in Emmerdale and Andrea Beckett in Coronation Street.
She’s also starred in The Good Ship Murder where she played Melody Jones.
The star shares one child called Jasper with her ex fiance Adrian but the pair have since split up.
Over a year ago she opened up about how she felt during her first Mother’s Day without Adrian.
On a social media post, she wrote: “This Mother’s Day is different for me as I’m now a single mum.
“Mine and Jasper’s life has been turned upside down over the past few months but I realise the best thing to come out of this is Jasper. For he is all I need… and all I’ve ever wanted.
“He makes me so happy! I never set out to be a single parent… but I DID set out to be the best mum I could be, and that hasn’t changed. I’m so lucky I get to be his mummy.
“And I’m very proud of myself for overcoming the many obstacles I’ve faced since he was born.
“To any other single mamas out there… I salute you.”
