Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is both king of jumping to conclusions and solving problems with his fists in Emmerdale, and when he finds out that Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) kissed Moira (Natalie J Robb), he’s definitely in a mood to act now, think later.
The truth is, Moira did not kiss Nate, she experienced a mini seizure, and both of them are as clueless as the other as to what actually happened.
But Caleb (Will Ash) witnessed it and reports back to Cain, who – having already begun believing something untoward is happening after Nate and Moira shared a drink – is ready to take his son down.
As Nate desperately tries to plead his innocence to Tracy (Amy Walsh) – who has also heard about the kiss, Cain arrives. Now the proverbial truly hits the fan.
Cain’s violent switch flips and he begins raining blows down on an innocent Nate, punching him to the floor.
The force of his actions is so strong Tracy is left wailing for Cain to stop before he kills him. Cain’s so consumed with rage, he cannot see straight. He takes it too far.
Tracy manages to stop him, and Nate squeezes out one last denial, but Cain walks out, deaf to his son’s pleas.
In a further blow, arguably the most painful, Tracy tells him she can no longer come with him to Scotland. So neither can his daughter.
She cruelly gives Nate five minutes to say his goodbyes to their daughter, before turning her back on him.
A battered and bruised Nate is forced to leave having lost his young family and his dad all in one go, for something he didn’t actually do.
Are both Cain and Tracy turning their backs on him for good?
