Amy’s mum Kerry admitted she couldn’t afford to pay for the nuptials after all, but the couple were saved at the last minute by Eric Pollard.

Eric walked Amy down the aisle, with the bride putting her own unique spin on her wedding outfit.

She opted for a ruched, ivory gown with a mullet skirt and a straight cut bodice.

She added a pair of Doc Martens, a funky leather biker jacket and wore colourful flowers in her hair and a short veil over her brow.

However, some Emmerdale viewers were not taken by Amy’s choice of wedding dress, and felt it looked like a wardrobe malfunction rather than a design choice.

Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one wrote: “Love Amy’s Dr Martens! Not keen on the dress. Looks like it’s tucked into her knickers.”

Another added: “Is the front of her dress caught in her knickers?”

A third tweeted: “Why’s her dress tucked in her knickers?”

Meanwhile, Eric was able to pay for the wedding after conning Kerry out of thousands of pounds.

Eric had told Kerry that a necklace she was hoping to sell to pay for the nuptials was worth only £60.

But after the ceremony, Eric gave Kerry some money to pay for a night in the B&B before slipping into a waiting Range Rover where the truth was revealed.

Eric had conned Kerry having set her up with a antiques dealer pal to pay her a pittance for the necklace she was trying to sell – while they pocketed thousands between them.“I’m still here, life in the old dog yet,” said Eric as he collected his share of the cash.Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
