EMMERDALE fans have called out an ‘unrealistic’ blunder with newcomer Ella Forster.
Ella is played by former Coronation Street star Paula Lane and made her debut earlier this week when Paddy Kirk and Mandy Dingle attended the vets social.
Ella was the PA for the loud-mouthed managing director Jules, who Mandy overheard laying into Ella over a work matter.
She consoled her, and later, when Jules made mean comments about Mandy’s outfit, Ella defended her before pouring a drink over her boss’s head and announcing she was quitting her job.
On Wednesday, Ella arrived back at the Hide bistro to meet Mandy after she left her coat there.
The women chatted about the events of the evening before Ella declared she was off to find a new job.
Her comment was overheard by Manpreet Sharma, who then offered Ella a job as a receptionist at the doctor’s surgery after hearing she was a PA.
While Ella was delighted by the “fate” encounter, Emmerdale viewers were quick to comment on the ease at which she got another job.
Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one wrote: “Random strangers getting job offers from GP’s surgeries in bars. So realistic.”
Another added: “As if u get a job like that #Emmerdale!”
Meanwhile a third tweeted: “1st rule of soap : you can become a doctor’s receptionist without an interview or dbs check.”
A fellow Emmerdale fan shared: “See some random stranger in a cafe talking about looking for a job. Offer them a job that involves sensitive data…. Yeah right.”
