Emmerdale airs worrying news about character ahead of ‘prison release’
Emmerdale spoilers tease drama ahead with the mention of a character not currently on the ITV soap, with hints they will soon be released from a secure home after their court sentencing
Emmerdale spoilers have teased there could be trouble for one character on the ITV soap, amid their return to the show.
A character who currently remains offscreen leaves their loved ones concerned next week, with some worrying news. Nicola and Jimmy King are left fearing for their teen daughter Angelica, as it’s revealed she’s been in a fight.
The teen is currently serving a custodial sentence for causing the death of Heath Hope and then lying about it earlier this year. Too young to go to a prison, the 15 year old was told she would have to serve her sentence at a secure children’s home.
Angelica was sentenced to eight months and had to leave the village and her family behind in tearful scenes. She has not been on screen since, while there were recent hints the character would be back on the show in the coming months.
Angelica’s ‘prison’ stint could be over by September, while it’s not known if this is onscreen or just when a return may be filmed. But Nicola and Jimmy will have months of stress ahead following the news Angel has fought with someone else in the home.

Angelica was driving a car while under the legal age when she lost control and killed passenger Heath in January. She then allowed his twin sister Cathy Hope to be blamed for the crime, as Cathy had initially taken the pair joyriding.
Eventually the truth came out despite Nicola urging Angelica to keep quiet. Angelica confessed what happened to Heath’s family and the police, unable to cope with her guilt any longer.
Angelica actress Rebecca Bakes recently told The Mirror that her return was definitely happening. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror Rebecca recently gave an update on her soap return.
She said: “It should be at the end of September, so in a few months maybe!” And when pressed on when she would specifically be back on screen, she added: “I don’t really know because we haven’t started filming anything yet.”
Rebecca was also asked whether Angelica would return as a bit of a rebel, or a shell of the person she used to be. She added: “I don’t know, it could go in the direction of her being a rebel or going a bit downhill but I don’t really know yet!”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
