Emmerdale and EastEnders viewers are in for a treat tonight, as the soap airs two key twists.
We have the fallout to a very recent arrest amid speculation a character could bow out of one soap this week. Elsewhere there’s tension, leading to a surprise proposal for one couple – amid a predicted DNA bombshell.
Over on Emmerdale, fans could see Samson regret taking on Josh, amid an arrest for assault. The character is already facing prison after his recent lies about Matty Barton, and he may have made things worse.
Amid speculation Samson is leaving the show after more than a decade, it could well happen given the character has his sentence hearing on Tuesday night. As his family wait for news about his fate, The Woolpack is silenced when his stepmother Lydia enters with the verdict – but what does it mean for Samson, and could this be his final scenes?

Over on EastEnders, Nish Panesar continues to try to come between his ex-wife Suki and her partner Eve Unwin. He sparked the arrival of old friend Ayesha this week, with the confession from Suki that she once had feelings for her.
With Ayesha feeling the same way, some viewers wondered where it would leave Suki and Eve. Nish will target Eve once more in the next episode, trying to manipulate the situation and make Eve think she could lose Suki.
Eve is determined for this not to happen and makes a surprising decision when she proposes to Suki in The Vic, in front of Ayesha, Stacey and the Panesars. But will Suki accept, or will Eve be left heartbroken?
It comes as fans have been guessing that Eve could secretly be linked to fellow resident Reiss Colwell after a recent scene. When Eve saw Debbie’s ring in possession of Reiss, he claimed it was his grandmother’s ring.
Eve made a comment about her own grandmother having a very similar ring. Viewers are now wondering if they may be related without realising it, or if Reiss could have stolen the ring from Eve’s family.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
