There has been plenty of drama in Emmerdale this week, in the aftermath of Belle Dingle and Tom King’s (Eden Taylor-Draper and James Chase) eventful wedding, but fans have taken to social media to talk about more than just the storylines.
In recent scenes, viewers have grown obsessed with Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J Robb) decision to suddenly start wearing hats. Not everyone can pull off a hat, but our Moira certainly can.
In just one episode, Moira styled not one, but two different hats, leaving viewers baffled.
During one scene that saw her chatting to Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) at the kitchen table, she was rocking a peak cap with her farm overalls.
While some fans thought it was crazy that she was wearing a hat indoors, others joked that the show was trying to ‘Yorkshire it up’ by putting her in a flat cap.
Even more fans suggested that she was looking to be part of the Peaky Blinders.
Later, during tense scenes which saw Caleb Miligan (William Ash) beg Moira to help him get back in the family’s good books after his affair with Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) was exposed by Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly), fans were distracted by Moira’s second hat of the day, taking to social media to share their thoughts.
Viewers took great amusement from Moira’s new collection of headwear, with many making suggestions about different types of hats she could style next.
While some wanted to see her in a Stetson, others thought she’d rock a hard hat. We think she could pull off anything.
Amid the joy of Moira’s ever-growing hat collection, things aren’t as jovial elsewhere in the village.
The King family are currently struggling as they come to terms with what the future will likely hold for Angelica (Rebecca Bakes), following her confession to driving the car that killed Heath Hope.
Elsewhere, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) is desperate to see baby Ivy, though Gus Malcolms (Alan McKenna) is still furious about Rhona’s decision to kidnap her.
With Caleb and Tracy’s affair exposed, Ruby has enlisted the help of Kim Tate (Claire King) to try and get Caleb out of the Emmerdale village for good – but will they succeed?
