Emmerdale fans baffled as they share same complaint over Rhona baby blunder

Emmerdale fans have shared their confusion about the size of baby Ivy after Rhona kidnapped her as the tot appeared to dramatically grow in the space of one episode

Emmerdale fans have pointed out a notable error regarding baby Ivy.

At the end of last year it was revealed Rhona Goskirk’s ex-husband Gus Malcolms (Alan McKenna) had stolen their frozen embryos to use with his wife Lucy (Charlotte Asprey). After Lucy tragically died during childbirth, Rhona invited Gus to stay with them and formed a bond with her biological daughter.

Last week Gus revealed his plans to officially leave the village with Ivy. In a desperate to stop him, Rhona fled with Ivy and planned to take her to Canada.

Hiding out in a remote cottage, Rhona called Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), who attempted to talk her out of the plan. But she refused to abandon the scheme, promising Ivy that they would start a new life together abroad.

Fans noticed Ivy appeared to grow significantly after one episode

However, fans were more distracted by baby Ivy in the emotional scene as a number of them pointed out how much she’d grown after just one episode. With Ivy meant to be just three months old, viewers took to social media to comment on the blunder.

One wrote: “That baby Ivy looks awfully old for a relative newborn? Looks a bit to mobile for her age? #emmerdale.” Another said: “Anyone notice baby was changed last night. #Emmerdale.”

Fans likened the three-month-old to a six-month-old baby

“WAIT. That baby is sitting up & looks about 6months old tonight. Make it make sense, for once #Emmerdale,” commented a third. Someone else pointed out: “The babies have all got big.”

Echoing this, another fan shared: “Goodness baby Ivy has grown since last night. Different baby I think.” Meanwhile a sixth agreed: “This baby has changed so much in just two episodes of #Emmerdale.”

Rhona was arrested for kidnapping Ivy

As the episode continued, Marlon (Mark Charnock) begged Gus not to call the police. Later, he angrily reminded Rhona that their son Leo was waiting at home wondering where his mum had gone.

Although it seemed Rhona was finally understanding Marlon’s way of thinking, it was too late. Gus showed up with the police and they arrested Rhona for kidnap.
