Belle is due to tie the knot with Tom King on Thursday next week (February 15), but viewers say they have already spotted signs of a grim future between the pair. They hooked up earlier this year after Tom returned to the Dales in April, and whilst all seemed rosy initially, he is now showing his “dark side” according to viewers.

One X user (formerly Twitter) declared their doubts over the romance: “I fear Belle’s going to end up in some kind of Stockholm Syndrome type of abuse situation with Tom… Outwardly, to everyone, everything will appear fine but behind closed doors Belle will be suffering.”

Another agreed: “Tom is showing a dark side with Belle here. I think she’s starting to have doubts. #Emmerdale.” A third added: Ffs Belle. Time to learn from past mistakes. You’ve had a few. #emmerdale. And a fourth asked: When is Belle going to come to her senses???? #Emmerdale.”

Emmerdale fans have warned Belle Dingle her marriage to Tom King is doomed

Yesterday fans caught up with the nearly-weds as they celebrated their joint ‘Sten Do’. It didn’t take long before the couple were separated by their close pals for a wild night of drinking together.

Belle enjoyed a low-key night with Mandy and Lydia Dingle and her closest friends where they pulled out a cardboard cutout of a half-naked man with her betrothed’s head printed on top. The girls enjoyed a bottle of fizz before Belle asked Mandy and Lydia to be her joint Maids of Honour.

Meanwhile, at the Woolpack, Tom was throwing back the drinks with his pal Suni Sharma and Nicky Milligan. Halfway through the night, the groom-to-be struggled to keep the cocktail of shots down as Suni made sure he wasn’t sick on his clothes in the bathroom.

Discussing their night at the beginning of Friday’s instalment, Tom asked a worse-for-wear Belle: “Do I look as bad as I feel? There’s still time to back out.” After she blanked, he conintuned: “So how about last night? I had a really good time.”

“Surprised yourself, did you?” piped up Belle eventually. “I sense an edge or is that a bit of hangover paranoia?” asked Tom. “Someone should have stopped me doing shots.”

“You’re a big lad, try stopping yourself,” fumed Belle, before she revealed news that Marlon can no longer make their wedding cake. “It just feels like one thing after another,” she added before storming off.

Just days before the wedding next week, Tom is frustrated when he discovers Belle doesn’t want to take his last name. Trying to smooth things over Belle offers a reasonable explanation and Tom is thwarted. But the following day it weighs heavy on Tom’s mind and eager to make him happy, Belle agrees to become Mrs King.
