Emmerdale fans were left stunned as they spotted a reference to another ITV soap in the latest episode.
Viewers of Tuesday’s (March 5) instalment were left mind-blown after catching a reference to fellow long-running soap Coronation Street during the episode.
The episode saw Rhona Goskirk sharing her fears over going to prison with Vanessa Woodfield, but fans were more preoccupied with something they clocked in the background.
As the women spoke in the cafe, an extra could be seen reading a copy of the fictional publication Chit Chat, which has been featured in Corrie for years.

Most recently, Coronation Street fans spotted Bethany Platt selling a story to the magazine editor about Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor’s acid attack and the affair in the months that followed.
It’s not the first time British soaps have crossed over, however, with Emmerdale, Coronation Street, EastEnders, Hollyoaks, Holby City, Casualty and Doctors all coming together in a first for soaps to raise awareness of climate change in 2021.
Each soap ran a storyline relating to the topic, with five of the shows referencing others within the special episodes, linking them all in one huge universe.

Back in 2010, rival soaps EastEnders and Coronation Street joined forces for a unique episode for a BBC Children In Need special on BBC One.
Fans were delighted to see characters from each soap make the journey to Albert Square and Weatherfield, respectively. Corrie‘s Jason Grimshaw enjoyed a trip to the Queen Vic, while its landlady, Kat Slater, teamed up with Corrie‘s Liz McDonald for a shift behind the bar.
Kat soon found herself clashing with Michelle Connor, while Corrie shopkeeper Dev Alahan butted heads with EastEnders postman Masood Ahmed.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX. Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
