Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ new Dingle affair twist as chemistry spotted ‘a mile off’

Emmerdale fans are certain Cain Dingle will have an affair with newcomer Ruby Fox-Milligan.
Ruby, played by Beth Cordingly, was introduced as the ex-wife Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) last week. The fiery character arrived in the village to sort out the final details of their divorce.
During Monday’s episode (January 29) of the ITV soap, Ruby was introduced to Cain (Jeff Hordley) after he was released from hospital. Admitting she’d heard a lot about him, the same couldn’t be said for Ruby as Cain revealed Caleb had never mentioned her.
Ruby tagged along with the rest of the Dingle’s as they headed into The Woolpack, but fans were immediately distracted by the interaction. Sharing their thoughts on X, formerly known as Twitter, a number of viewers speculated the two could embark on an affair after spotting their undeniable chemistry.
One simply penned: “Cain and Ruby incoming?” Another added: “I thought I saw some chemistry between Cain and Ruby.” A third agreed: “Can spot the chemistry between Cain and Ruby a mile off. Another Dingle affair?”.
A fourth viewer said: “I’ll put a bet on them two sleeping together.” Unbeknownst to Ruby, Caleb has been having an affair with Tracy (Amy Walsh) since October. But it’s not long before she works out that her hubby is up to something.
Next week, Moira (Natalie J Robb) advises Tracy not to throw everything away for Caleb. However, Tracy tells Nate (Jurell Carter) she no longer loves him. His shock turns to anger as he demands to know why their marriage is over.
On the outskirts of the village, Nate is in a daze as he wanders aimlessly. Against his better judgement, Caleb invites him to stay. Concerned Cain tries to support Nate, but he shares a knowing look with Ruby when Nate admits he thinks Tracy’s seeing somebody else.
Caleb’s on edge when Ruby urges them to find out who Tracy’s secret lover is. After spotting Nicky and Caleb arguing, Ruby heads on a mission to find out why. Despite confessing his feelings for Tracy, Caleb can’t help but pull his wife in for a passionate kiss when she returns home.
