Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ who’ll go down for Ethan’s death – and it’s ‘not Ruby’

Emmerdale fans are questioning if a character is about to be framed over Ethan Anderson’s shocking death on the ITV soap.
Viewers are fearing for one village favourite after possible hints they could be blamed for the hit and run that may or may not have led to Ethan’s death. Ethan collapsed and died earlier this week, leaving his family devastated.
But amid the real driver behind the deliberate crash struggling with their guilt, fans think someone else will be in the frame if it is the cause of his demise. Ruby Miligan revealed to Ethan last week she was the driver who tried to kill him, after he had left her son Nicky Miligan to die in a crash the week earlier.
But days on and Ruby is a mess after feeling guilty for what she did, knowing Ethan has now died. While some fans think a downfall is set for the character, others are convinced someone else will end up going to prison.
After some comments by her and her husband Caleb Miligan, and a scene with Ethan’s dad Charles Anderson, viewers fear Aaron Dingle is in the frame. Nicky’s cousin could find himself questioned for the hit and run and possibly the death too, after Caleb and Ruby appeared to suggest him as a suspect to the police.

Viewers noticed Charles had accused him previously of being the driver, and then Ruby was heard asking if the police would be speaking with Aaron. Taking to X, one viewer theorised: “Last week the show had Charles blaming Aaron for Ethan’s hit & run. So will he be the fall guy for Ruby?”
Another fan added: “We had a tiny one scene of Aaron in the pub, just so he can be a suspect for Charles. Interesting Caleb and Ruby assumed the police were looking for Aaron almost pointing them in his direction as PC Swirling rocked up.”
A third fan said: “Will Ruby confess or pick up the big bus & throw it on top of Aaron?” A fourth viewer added: “It’s great Aaron in tonight’s ep but not looking forward to it if Charles blames Aaron for Ethan’s death. Looks like it might go that way. Not good for Aaron he’s been through enough.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
