Emmerdale hints at trouble for Matty and Amy’s wedding

Emmerdale‘s Matty Barton and Amy Wyatt could face more problems with their wedding planning later this month.
The couple are hoping to exchange their vows in a couple of weeks’ time, but there’s a chance that Amy’s mum Kerry could inadvertently ruin the big day.
Kerry has agreed to pay for the ceremony and hopes that her grand gesture will impress Amy.
Viewers know that Kerry has been acting suspiciously ever since she returned to the village, as she was seen stashing away money and jewellery that she’d stolen during her time away on a cruise ship.
Next week, Kerry puts the next stage of her plan into action as she prepares to part ways with her beloved diamond necklace.
Kerry is preparing to sell the item for a large sum, but it’s unclear whether her plans will pay off.
Before long, events planner Suzy Merton pays a visit to Kerry and makes another attempt to secure the promised payment for the wedding.
When Kerry still isn’t able to meet her obligations, is there a danger that Matty and Amy’s big day could be thrown into jeopardy without the funds to pay for it?

Speaking recently about Kerry’s secrecy, Laura Norton – who plays her – told Inside Soap: “All is not what it seems! She’s saying one thing while she’s meaning something very different.
“A bit of mischief has jumped in a suitcase from the cruise ship and it’s going to follow her around for quite a bit of time. But it’s not too heavy, it might make people laugh!”
Last month, Matty and Amy booked their wedding for April 17.

The couple faced problems when Claudette Anderson tried to ban them from using the village hall as a wedding reception due to Matty being trans.
After Claudette’s grandson Ethan confronted her over her prejudiced stance, she later apologised to Matty.
