Emmerdale’s Kim Tate could be about to take a violent revenge in a killer twist on the ITV soap.

Ruby Miligan may have met her match and could learn the hard way not to cross long-time soap villain Kim. The character has been secretly plotting against the Home Farm resident along with secret pal Rose Jackson.

Viewers know that Dawn Taylor’s mother Rose debuted on the soap earlier this year, decades after she walked out on her and ex Will Taylor. Kim’s husband Will was shocked to be reunited with her after years apart, and Dawn asked them to allow her to stay with them at Home Farm.

But what none of them realised was that Rose’s real reason for being in the village was to help secret pal Ruby bring down Kim. Ruby has had a vendetta with Kim ever since she refused to help her take down husband Caleb Miligan.

Caleb had his own drama with Kim a while back after it was revealed he was the secret son of her ex Frank Tate. Now, Rose and Ruby are targeting Kim to destroy her, with Rose’s role being to split up her and Will.

In the latest episode after Rose had managed to drive a wedge between Kim and the family, she worked on getting Will on side. After encouraging him to have a drink, she made a move and kissed him, with him betraying Kim by kissing her back.

As things got steamy for the pair, Rose had no idea Kim had rumbled her and Ruby’s plan after a showdown in the village. Caleb had made a comment to Kim about Ruby not giving in once she had her mind set on something, after Kim previously thought Caleb was targeting her.

In that moment she realised it was Ruby and she went to see her, before finding her bottle of brandy at her house – proving she had been to Home Farm. Ruby was stunned to learn Kim had worked out the pair were against her, and Ruby gloated about “her work being done”.

She claimed she only had to sit back and watch the fireworks, knowing Kim and Will could be torn apart. Kim then threatened her and told her if she didn’t stay away, she would get “burnt”. Knowing Kim’s history with taking revenge, could there be a deadly showdown on the cards, with Rose or Ruby in the firing line?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
