The advertisement has received public airplay across channels in the UK, propelling Jurell to an even wider audience. He was thrilled with the outcome of the recording, uploading the video to his Instagram story and penning: “Was a real pleasure voicing the new Royal Marines advert…” followed by a high-five and heart emoji.

This is a far cry from the set of the ITV soap, and even further from what Jurell had secretly wanted to do in life. Before turning to acting, Carter revealed that he was setting himself up for a career in football.

The Nate actor had been dreaming for a career playing for his beloved club Birmingham City, and had already started working together making his way on the team – including bagging a scholarship to play in America. However, due to the sky-high cost of the fees to carry on, Jurell was forced to drop the idea and fall back on his second plan of acting.

However, despite things not working out, he told OK! magazine that believed it was “fate” that he eventually turned to being an actor. “Since I was a kid, football was my life,” he explained.

“I played all the time, in school and out of school. I was confident with football and even though I loved acting, if you put me on a stage, I would crumble.

“I wasn’t confident to get up in front of everyone. I am now so grateful football didn’t work out,” he finished.
