There is more schedule chaos over on ITV this week as Emmerdale is pulled from our screens tonight (April 9).

Instead of the usual trip to the Dales, viewers can tune in to watch the UEFA Euro 2025 qualifiers between England and the Republic of Ireland.

This isn’t the first time the soaps have been moved to make way for the football, with fans of Coronation Street previously taking to social media to express their irritation at the schedule changes.

In order to make up for the missing episode, Emmerdale aired a one hour episode last night (April 8), which saw Tom King (James Chase) deliberately come between Belle and Vinny Dingle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper and Bradley Johnson) friendship.

Elsewhere, Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) caused chaos in true Ruby fashion, and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) was left seething when brother Caleb (William Ash) publicly disowned him.

Episodes will resume as normal on Wednesday, April 10 for the rest of the week.

The rest of this week on Emmerdale is also set to be dramatic, with Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) set to face trial for kidnapping baby Ivy.

Things don’t exactly go smoothly, with Rhona and Gus (Alan McKenna) sharing some harsh words.

Will Rhona be found not guilty, or is she set to face a long prison stretch?

Elsewhere, Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) proposes to Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker), but is this what they both want?
