Emmerdale scene reveals Rose and Ruby’s real target – and it’s not Kim Tate

Emmerdale scenes have teased who Rose Jackson and Ruby Miligan are targeting, and it isn’t just Kim Tate who needs to watch out.

In fact, the pair revealed someone else they had their sights on, and seemingly the main person they were after as part of their plan. The specifics have yet to be confirmed in terms of what they are after and how they plan to achieve it.

But what we do know is that Ruby and Rose are linked outside of the village, and have teamed up. Ruby cleared Rose’s debts in exchange for her help in targeting enemy Kim.

Ruby’s husband Caleb Miligan had been trying to destroy Kim too in the past, after it emerged he was the secret son of Frank Tate. Frank was Kim’s ex, and she left him to die after he suffered a heart attack, with Caleb blaming her for his death.

Caleb believed Home Farm and everything Kim had was rightfully his not hers, given she stole some of Frank’s assets. While Caleb has dropped the plan, and did some time ago, it seems Ruby is taking over with the help of Rose.

Rose has managed to move herself into Home Farm as the mother of Dawn Taylor, Kim’s stepdaughter. Kim is married to Rose’s ex Will Taylor, Dawn’s father, and she’s not happy about Rose being there, and is intent on getting her out.

Rose and Dawn have been estranged for decades after she walked out on Dawn and Will years ago. But Rose seems keen to get to know her daughter again, but is it all an act and is Dawn at risk?

It could be the case as on Tuesday, Rose and Ruby made it clear that Will is Rose’s current target, not Kim. While it seems this is because Ruby is after Kim, and she simply needs Rose to handle Will, it’s yet to be revealed what exactly Ruby has planned.

All we know is that Ruby cleared Rose’s debts as leverage, needing her to get into Home Farm to mess around with Will and Kim. Ruby suggested that if Rose successfully drove a wedge between Will and Kim, her part of the deal was done.

But what exactly is the deal and how far will they go? Ruby ruthlessly threatened to expose Rose to Dawn in the latest episode, as she reminded her that her role in the plan was to get close to Will.

She told her: “It’s Will you need to be focusing on,” asking her to leave Kim alone and stop picking fights with her. So Rose isn’t directly after Kim and is instead targeting Will, but could Dawn end up figuring out the truth?
