Emmerdale spoilers: Cain Dingle makes a heartbreaking confession to Moira after near-death
Cain (Jeff Hordley) bore the brunt of Aaron’s defensive anger after the two came face to face over the Emmerdale car thefts. Angry at his uncle’s interference, Aaron (Danny Miller) picked up a wrench and knocked Cain out.
He came to and seemed to be fine, but a wrench to the noggin is no small thing, and when he went to confront Aaron about the attack, Cain suddenly collapsed.
He’s in hospital unconscious and Moira (Natalie J Robb) is stuck fast by his bedside. She’s flooded with relief when he starts to wake up, but this is when they’ll find out what lasting damage there’ll be.
Aaron has done it this time as far as the family are concerned, including Chas (Lucy Pargeter). Mack (Lawrence Robb) also can’t bear to look at his former business partner
He seethes that Aaron deserves everything that’s coming to him.
Aaron’s mask slips; being ostracised and hated by his family might be what he’s been working towards, but it’s not what he wants.
Cain is put on absolute bed rest, but Liam (Jonny McPherson) is later shocked to hear he has discharged himself. The family come together to support him while Aaron is left out in the cold.
Having ignored doctor’s advice, Cain hits the pain killers, leaving Moira extremely worried. Is he heading for a prescription drug addiction?
When Moira confronts him, he angrily shuts her down.
But later, unable to keep secrets from the wife who has been by his side through everything, Cain confesses what the issue really is.
Can their marriage survive this new truth?
