Angel, Nicola and Jimmy then arrive at the hearing. As the meeting gets underway, the trio are devastated when the judge sentences Angelica to eight months in a secure children’s home.

Back at home, Bob is emotional as he starts to read his letter from Angel.

As Angelica is separated from her family, Jimmy and Nicola have no choice but to return to the village.

That evening, Nicola tries to hold herself together when Angel calls in a state of distress, but she quickly realises there’s nothing she can do to help her daughter.

Searching for a distration, Nicola heads to the B&B and apologises to Bob.

There, a moment of thawing occurs between the pair. Nicola and Bob have both lost a child in this ordeal and eventually, as they connect, they start to support each other in their shared grief.
