Will Samson Be Killed Off?
Fans clearly want Samson out of the show after his lies led to Moira Dingle’s arrest. The teen falsely accused his cousin Matty Barton of stabbing him. After being imprisoned, poor Matty has been terrified of the abuse in prison and even got himself beaten up just to be taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Moira is so desperate to save her son that she makes a kidnap plan with her brother Mackenzie. The brother-sister duo shares the pain Matty has endured because of his lies. And guess what? Their plan worked! Samson finally confesses the truth and agrees to talk to the police.
As they arrive at the police station, Samson expresses his regret to Moira, admitting that he should have stood up to Josh and even called himself a coward. Moira reassures him that he is doing the right thing. However, when she tries to accompany him inside, Samson insists on going in alone.
Samson Betrays Moira
Moira calls after him, saying she will not forget what he is doing. However, later, tables turn as PC Swirling informs Moira that Samson has made a serious allegation against her and Mackenzie. He announces that they are both under arrest on suspicion of kidnapping and false imprisonment.
He explains that they don’t have to say anything, but failing to mention something during questioning could harm their defence. He stated, “Anything you do say may be given in evidence.” Now, Samson’s continued deceit has left fans wishing for his character to be written off.
One fan commented, “[Samson] needs to be murdered more than any Emmerdale character ever has.” Yet another viewer added that they wouldn’t miss Samson and Josh once the storyline concluded. A third one wrote, “Are they trying to make us hate Samson? Because I want him dead at this point.”
