Samson dies as lives changed forever?

Emmerdale could air a sad death next week after a dark twist unfolds, changing lives possibly forever on the ITV soap. What happens next remains to be seen as spoilers remain coy over the injured character’s fate, amid mixed reports they will be leaving at some point. Samson finds his new pal Josh getting him into trouble, and it’s not long before his life is on the line.

As Josh battles with Matty Barton over some cruel jibes from the newcomer, things get heated and as Matty holds onto a knife, it ends up impaling Samson. It all kicks off when Samson shares his plans to leave the village with Josh, and go travelling.

His family aren’t keen on this, unsure it’s safe and not liking Josh one bit. Josh wastes no time in trying to woo some of the village ladies, one of them being Matty’s wife Amy Wyatt.

So when Matty gets the upper hand over Josh numerous times next week, vile Josh takes action. Amy is uncomfortable with Josh’s endless flirting, to the point she leaves work at the HOP.

Matty defends his wife and gives Josh some home truths, leaving him embarrassed. He’s clearly fuming though after he and Samson are forced to leave the premises, but he’s not done.

With him knowing that Matty is trans, he cruelly dead-names Matty before heading back inside the HOP to teach him a lesson. Samson follows and doesn’t even step up for Matty, who is practically family via Samson’s uncle Cain Dingle, Matty’s stepdad.

The situation grows hostile as Josh starts threatening Matty to give up the money in the till. As Matty refuses, Josh shoves Samson into him, while Matty has been holding a knife and this impales Samson by accident.

With Samson bleeding out, Josh twists the narrative and stands back while accusing Matty for coming at them with the blade. Matty fears for his future and if he will be believed, while Samson is in grave danger – but will he survive?

Emmerdale’s Rose and Ruby could lose everything, as they take on Kim Tate in upcoming scenes. After some mysterious behaviour, it’s been revealed the enemies of Kim are uniting to take her down. But it could be their downfall on the cards not Kim’s, thanks to an error.

There’s more still to be confirmed about Ruby and Rose’s link and their shocking plan. We already know that Rose is against Kim amid Rose’s debut in recent weeks, as the mother of Kim’s stepdaughter Dawn Taylor.

We also know that Ruby has been against Kim for a while, with her husband Caleb Miligan initially trying to steal everything she had due to their shared link to his late father Frank Tate. It seems that storyline is being revisited, as Ruby seems keen to destroy Kim for once and for all with the help of Rose, who hates Kim just as much it seems.

But Rose makes a worrying mistake next week that could jeopardise everything, just as she seemed to be getting her family onside. After winning over Dawn and Will considering giving her a chance, Rose leaves Dawn at risk next week unaware of her difficult past.

With Dawn at the hospital a lot at the moment with baby son Evan who is about to have chemotherapy, amid his leukaemia diagnosis, she’s understandably exhausted. When Dawn heads home, she’s grateful to mum Rose as she offers her some respite and convinces her to join her for a brandy to unwind.

But unaware that Dawn is a recovering drug addict, she makes a big mistake when she offers her some heavy-duty sleeping tablets to help her get some rest. Dawn rejects this but Will sees everything, and fumes at Rose telling her she’s on her last chance at Home Farm.

While Dawn makes it clear she’s forgiven Rose for her faux pas over the sleeping tablets, and is grateful for the time they’ve spent together, Will is still furious, with Kim reminding Rose that she’s close to being kicked out. She meets up with secret pal Ruby, and tells her about the latest hitch in the plan to destroy Kim.

Ruby reminds her of the stakes of the operation, and that there is no room for error. But after yet another mistake, could the pair’s downfall be sealed and how will Kim react to their plan?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
