Emmerdale spoilers: Mandy Dingle stuns Chas with her reaction to her kiss with Paddy Kirk
During an emotional moment discussing her impending mastectomy, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) gave into their nostalgic feelings and had a kiss in Emmerdale.
The regret was instant, and Paddy owned his mistake by telling Mandy (Lisa Riley) all about it. Mandy took it uncharacteristically well at the time. But she can only hide those feelings for so long.
While Mandy mentally processes Paddy’s bad behaviour, the rest of the family are eagerly awaiting the results of Cain (Jeff Hordley), Caleb (Will Ash), and Aaron’s (Danny Miller) results of the tests for BRCA2 gene.
It’s a tense moment for the entire clan when the results arrive. The plaster is quickly ripped off and a sigh of relief rolls round – all three are free of the BRCA2 gene.
Well, not really, but that’s Aaron’s little secret. For now.
As the family revel in the news that the three men have had the all clear, Mandy and Chas come face to face for the first time since the kiss. With the worry over the results out of the way, Mandy is ready to confront the elephant in the room.
Things are icier than an Eskimo’s backside between the two. Paddy brings Eve around to see Chas and Mandy arrives shortly after. Chas prepares herself the full Scorned Mandy Dingle treatment.
As expected, the exchange is tense, but a few tough words are all Mandy needs. Chas’ jaw hits the floor when Mandy tells her she’s ready to move on and put it all behind them.
With that done and dusted Chas can get back to worrying about her future, that is until Mandy learns a new truth – it was Chas who broke off the kiss, not Paddy.
This is a huge blow for the woman who only recently had to overcome the moment Paddy refused to call her his girlfriend in front of an obnoxious old acquaintance for fear of embarrassment.
Mandy is distraught, how will Mandy react now she knows Paddy didn’t want the kiss to end?
