Emmerdale spoilers: Show favourite left to die in almighty car crash – as his ‘friend’ flees the scene
As the village still reels from the untimely demise of Heath as the result of a car accident, there looks set to be another devastating car crash death thanks to one Emmerdale local’s decision to drink drive.
Suni (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) is out in a bar when he has the heart-stopping realisation that the man who subjected him to a horrifying homophobic attack last year is in the same bar.
Desperate for a rescue, he calls Nicky (Lewis Cope), who immediately jumps to save his boyfriend. But having been drinking with Ethan (Emile John), the former lawyer warns him he’s had too much to get behind the wheel.
Ethan offers instead and makes the judgement call that though he’s been drinking, it’s not as much as Nicky and thus is a far safer bet.
On their way to the bar, Ethan spots a police car and panics. He turns around, worried he’s over the limit. It’s a narrow escape.
A tipsy Nicky gets increasingly agitated about what’s happening to Suni, exacerbated by the fact he cannot get hold of him. As Ethan tries to calm the situation and is distracted from the road, he loses control.
The car crashes off the road, and there is no sign of life from either the driver or the passenger.
Ethan eventually comes round and carefully pulls Nicky from the wreckage. But he’s spooked when another car approaches and he scarpers, leaving a badly injured Nicky for dead.
From his hiding place, Ethan watches as a shocked Moira finds Nicky. Knowing that help has arrived, he runs. Has Ethan killed his pal?
