Emmerdale spoilers: The Dingles shellshocked as frightened Chas opens up about her cancer
Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) faces worried looks from her family members in Emmerdale soon as she finally tells them about her cancer.
A few weeks ago, after sleeping with Liam (Jonny McPherson), Chas was thrown when he revealed he felt a lump in her breast.
Months on from her mum’s death as a result of her own cancer diagnosis, it wasn’t a surprise that Chas spent time in denial but, after help from Liam, she headed to the doctors for a scan.
In upcoming episodes, Liam and Chas try and talk about her prognosis but Liam remains concerned because Chas wants to keep the cancer a secret.
Thankfully, after Liam says to Chas that telling her family is the best option, she agrees and prepares to open up.
At the pub, as an argument unfolds between some of the Dingles, Chas explains what is going on and everybody reels from her news.
The family gather around Chas to support her which leaves Aaron (Danny Miller) sticking out like a sore thumb, who keeps his distance and walks away.
Later in the week, Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Chas turn their attention to Eve. They sit down and gently explain to the young girl that her mum has cancer.
During a chat with Cain (Jeff Hordley), Chas expresses her fears but remains hopeful, given the cancer was found early.
With the weight of the world on her shoulders, Chas later finds Paddy and announces she wants to go on holiday and take Eve with her.
The family gather to see Chas off but just before she departs, Mandy (Lisa Riley) approaches and hands her a wad of cash from Paddy.
But what will unfold in the village while Chas is away?
And when she returns, what state will her health be in?
