Emmerdale spoilers: The end is nigh as Angelica King and Cathy Hope discover their fates over Heath’s death
Poor Cathy (Gabrielle Dowling) has had unbelievable things to cope with that no teen should face – the death of her twin, the lies of her friend, the mistrust of her dad. Having laid her brother to rest, now she faces her Emmerdale fate.
Almost no one believes her that she was not driving the night Heath died, and all of the evidence points in her direction. But with Angelica (Rebecca Bakes) drowning in guilt, the truth will out.
No thanks to parents Jimmy (Nick Miles) and Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) though, who actively encouraged her to keep schtum.
With everything that’s been going on, Nicola is forced to resign from her beloved position on the council, leaving her in a bad place. Then the Kings learn there is a date for the hearing and hesitate in telling Angelica.
Nicola seeks advice from Ethan (Emile John) but it’s not what she wants to hear – it’s unlikely to be a favourable outcome for her baby Angel and it looks like she’s facing time inside.
Bob (Tony Audenshaw) is aggrieved to learn it was his old drinking buddy and confidante Jimmy who pushed Angelica to lie.Being ever the protective parent, Nicola vows not to tell Angelica what her outlook is. For once though, Jimmy is against all the secrets and lies, especially when Nicola suggests she plead not guilty.
Will Angelica get the time inside they fear?
There’s good news in the other camp – Cathy has all her charges dropped. Finally, the heartbroken teenager can start moving forwards.
