Emmerdale spoilers: ‘Who gave better sex?’ Ruby Milligan savages Moira Barton with jibe about Cain Dingle and his son Nate
Caleb Milligan’s (William Ash) wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly) hasn’t been in the Emmerdale village for long and already she’s caused quite a stir.
This week, Ruby grew annoyed when she discovered son Nicky (Lewis Cope) and boyfriend Suni (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) were involved in a homophobic attack and she knew nothing about it.
This prompted Ruby to organise a lunch with Caleb’s (William Ash) Dingle family so she could get to know them. Caleb was annoyed by this development and reminded Ruby they’re getting a divorce and she was interfering too much – but she didn’t care.
Ruby invited Nate (Jurell Carter), Tracy (Amy Walsh), Moira (Natalie J Robb) and Cain (Jeff Hordley) to the lunch and as soon as they walked through the door, the awkwardness started to grow.
Aside from the fact they don’t know Ruby very well, Tracy was tasked with hiding her feelings for Caleb, while Moira sat pretending she had no idea Nate’s wife has been sleeping with his uncle.
As Ruby drank more wine, her inability to care about other people’s feelings started to increase. After Moira accidentally assumed their food had come from a takeaway, an offended Ruby – who had spent hours preparing the lunch – turned her attention to Tracy and Nate.
A curious Ruby asked Tracy if Nate’s ‘affair’ had given her trust issues. She was referring to the time Emmerdale stepped into a parallel universe and Moira and Nate had an affair – before they knew he’s Cain’s son.
Already making the lunch unbearable, Ruby then twisted the knife by asked Moira who was better at sex – Cain, or his son.
Oh dear.
The afternoon ended with the family walking out and Caleb furious at Ruby.
That evening, Caleb bumped into Tracy who had a few choice words to say about his marriage.
Caleb pointed out that Tracy didn’t really have the right to comment on his relationship because if she was honest with herself, she’d realise her marriage was also dead in the water, and that she doesn’t love Nate anymore.
