Amy Nuttall is thought to again be back with husband Andrew Buchan after he reportedly walked out on their 11-year marriage to start a new relationship with a co-star in 2023
Amy Nuttall is back with her ‘cheating’ husband Andrew Buchan for a third time, she appears to have confirmed.
The 41-year-old, best known for her roles in Emmerdale and Downton Abbey, was left heartbroken when he walked out on her in 2023 and moved in with actress Leila Farzad, 42. They got back together before splitting again months later – but now it appears the couple have reconciled once again after a troubled few years.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, Amy addressed their reunion during an interview about her finances. Discussing her yearly salary, Amy said: “Generally speaking, in the last financial year, what can I tell you? Below a hundred grand, but I’m married so it all goes into one pot. So it’s not as scary because I can lean on that.”
She went on to say “I’m the joint owner of our comfortable family home in Buckinghamshire. We owned a smaller house before.” Andrew and Leila – who was also married – met when they were both starring in the primetime BBC crime drama Better. In the show, Leila’s high-ranking police character, DI Lou Slack, had a corrupt relationship with crime leader Col McHugh, played by Andrew.

But three months after reportedly telling Amy their 11-year marriage was over, Andrew was spotted wearing his wedding ring as he left the family’s Buckinghamshire home. “We are healing,” Andrew allegedly told a pal, who informed The Sun, suggesting they are giving things another go.
A source close to Amy, who also appeared in Emmerdale, is also said to have told the publication: “Andrew has come to her and promised to change. They have been working through their problems and are trying to put the love triangle behind them for the sake of their family.”
They are said to have called in a day again back in August. “There is no suggestion he has cheated again, but as far as she is concerned this is it,” another source said late last year. “She is obviously gutted but also accepts that their time together has come to an end.” She reportedly suspected Andrew was cheating last year on her when she found lingerie Andrew had bought for another woman.
Friends said Andrew failed to stick to marriage ‘rules’ drawn up by broken Amy. Neither have spoken publicly about the rumoured affair. That potential reunion comes weeks after Amy was said to be ‘crushed and crying every day’ after discovering her husband had been unfaithful.
