Emmerdale star Paula Lane shared the joyous news that she has welcomed a new family member.
The actress, 37,best known for playing Kylie Platt in Coronation Street, recently made her Dales debut as Ella Forster.
Paula has two children, Arthur and Penny, with her soap star husband Tom Shaw, and judging by her latest Instagram post her her family has just become bigger.
Fans rushed to send Paula their well wishes with @justinraff2021 replying: ‘Aww congratulations to you Paula and your niece Allie is so adorable.’
@coppertoplinda added: ‘That little wee hand with perfect nails…makes my heart sing.’
Ella made her Emmerdale arrival last week meeting Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) at a veterinary ball. Ella was PA to a loud-mouthed and bossy managing director called Jules (Wayne Cater) who was already throwing his weight about and being obnoxious before the event had even properly started.
The soap actress shared a picture of her holding a little one’s hand and captioned the post: ‘Absolutely besotted with you Allie 🥰🥰🥰 My great niece ❤️.’
His terrible behaviour increased when Mandy arrived, dressed fabulously in a black dress held together with decorative safety pins, a throwback to the iconic gown worn by Liz Hurley in the 1990s.
On social media, Paula wrote in response to all the wonderful messages: ‘So many lovely messages about @emmerdale and Ella – feeling enormously grateful to be a part of this show. Everyone has just been so welcoming and I couldn’t have wished for a better start.’
Speaking about her character Ella, she said: ‘She is 29. She is a single woman, who is very professional.’
‘She doesn’t mince her words, but she’s not scrappy. I think she’s definitely a good friend to have on your side. And I’m really pleased that she kind of quickly finds a friendship with Mandy and I think them two are definitely going to be a great pair.’
