Former Emmerdale star Kris Mochrie has paid tribute to fiancé Max Parker with a touching message on his birthday.

The actor, who played Lee Posner on the ITV soap, shared a number of selfies with Max, writing: ‘Here’s to another incredible year for you.’

Couple goals.

The last slide saw Kris surprise Max, who played his on-screen brother Lee on Emmerdale, by serenading him with a ‘Happy Birthday’ and a treat.

Max and Kris, who both joined Emmerdale at various points in 2019, met on the set of the long-running serial drama and subsequently enjoyed a string of dates together.

The couple confirmed their romance in July 2020 when they shared a picture from a holiday getaway.

They subsequently moved in together and, in January 2022, Max popped the question to a stunned Kris while on a beach.

‘He deserves the world, but the best I could do was promise him my heart,’ wrote Max in an Instagram post at the time. ‘HE SAID YES!’

‘Happiest moment of my life. @krismoc my Fiancé’.

While Kris’ Emmerdale character Lee was killed off in 2019 following a showdown with Robert Sugden, Max remained on the show as Luke until 2021 when he decided to leave – with his final scenes airing that September.

Luke was embroiled in a huge storyline at the time of his exit, after it was discovered that he had been catfishing Ethan Anderson (Emile John).

When telling mum Wendy (Susan Cookson) about what he’d done, Luke opened up about about what really happened in the past with his boyfriend Stephen.

He confirmed that the relationship was an ‘intense’ one, and was even planning on introducing Stephen to Wendy at one stage, before homophobic brother Lee found out and attacked him.

Max, 32, has gone on to star in numerous projects since, including Netflix’s Blood, Sex and Royalty, and he will feature in the streamer’s upcoming drama The Corps.
