Emmerdale’s Gabby Thomas to be drawn into Tom and Belle story
Tom continues to lie and scheme.
Emmerdale‘s Gabby Thomas becomes a pawn in Tom King’s latest manipulation next week.
Gabby is unwittingly drawn into Tom’s scheming when the villain tries to distract Vinny Dingle from spending so much time with Belle.
The ITV soap has been exploring domestic abuse and coercive control in Tom and Belle’s marriage.
Viewers have already seen Tom grow jealous over Belle’s friendship with Vinny.

This troubling situation comes to a head in this Thursday’s hour-long episode (April 18), as Tom goes snooping around the scrapyard and violently lashes out at Vinny when he interrupts him.
In follow-on scenes next week, Belle is shocked to see Vinny looking battered and bruised following the unprovoked attack.
Vinny doesn’t know who his assailant was, so Tom remains in the clear for the time being.
When Belle suggests that she should help to care for Vinny, her idea leaves Tom jealous again. He retaliates by deliberately belittling Vinny over what happened.

Later in the week, Belle is confused by an abrupt change in Tom’s stance as he starts trying to bond with Vinny.
Belle can’t help wondering what Tom is really up to, aware that he usually has an ulterior motive in such situations.
Before long, Tom announces that he’s making it his mission to find Vinny a girlfriend. Secretly, he hopes that this will ultimately deter Vinny from spending so much time with Belle.
Tom enjoys playing matchmaker for Vinny and decides that Gabby is a suitable match.

Belle witnesses Tom’s efforts to get to know Gabby on Vinny’s behalf and she starts to feel uncomfortable over him befriending another woman like this.
