Emmerdale‘s Liam Cavanagh is set to be delighted as his latest romantic interest seems to feel the same way.
Liam and his new surgery co-worker Ella Forster have previously had a cheeky flirt, and in upcoming scenes, Manpreet Sharma notices them at it again.
She calls him into a meeting and chastises him, sharing her concern that mixing work and romance could get in the way of doing their professional jobs.
However, sparks fly between them at the Woolpack quiz, and Ella agrees to go on a date with Liam.
How will Manpreet react when she finds out about this, and will her concerns come to fruition?
Ella actress Paula Lane recently opened up about the storyline to Digital Spy and other press, sharing: “There’s already been a relationship going on there at the surgery.
“So I don’t know. There might be some fireworks, there’s a little bit of competition, perhaps. There’s a little love triangle going on. But behind closed doors, who knows what can happen?”
“Ella is a complex and multi-layered character who comes to the village and certainly makes an impact. Ostensibly she’s a good, moral character, but is there more to her than meets the eye?” producer Kate Brooks also teased previously.”
She continued: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome an actor of Paula’s calibre to the show and we can’t wait to have her light up our screens.”
The previous surgery romance Lane mentioned was between Liam and Wendy Posner, which was an affair that took place when she was in a serious relationship with Bob Hope. That led to Bob suffering a heart attack.
