Emmerdale’s Rhona missing as she takes drastic action to keep baby Ivy

Things take an unexpected twist for Emmerdale’s Rhona next week as she takes the law into her own hands with baby Ivy.

Next week, Rhona is concerned and consumed with emotion when she finds out Gus is coping well with Ivy. She starts to panic when Gus explains he wants his daughter back on a full-time basis.

As he packs up her things and heads out with her, Rhona tells Marlon that she hopes Ivy will play up for Gus as he tries to leave. The following day, they meet up with Gus and an emotional Rhona smothers the baby with affection as she finds it hard to let go.Rhona is then upset to hear Gus is coping well with Ivy and is distraught when Gus moots finding them both a permanent new home. Trying to smooth things over Marlon asks Gus whether he’d be willing to let them co-parent from time to time, but Gus tells them he plans to move to France.

The next day, guilty over his decision to go, Gus asks if Rhona and Marlon can take care of Ivy for the day, giving them a chance to say goodbye properly to the baby. With all hope lost, Rhona is broken and she holds Ivy close.

Later on, Marlon’s returns home to find Ivy and Rhona missing, along with all their belongings. Panicked, he explains to Mary that Rhona has fled the village with Ivy.

Both Marlon and Mary are frantic with worry as they begin the search for Rhona and the baby. But will they be able to find them in time?

 

For months, Marlon and Mary have been worried that Rhona was becoming too close to Ivy and was clearly growing a bond. Fans at home also suspected that Rhona would one day decide to leave the village with Ivy in tow.

One social media user previously predicted: “I reckon Rhona will kidnap Ivy, & head for the ferry port! But she’ll be arrested once Gus reports her, leading Rhona & Marlon heading for Splitsville.”
