EMMERDALE’S Nate Robinson has shown himself up after forgetting a huge storyline.
The farmer – who is played by actor Jurell Carter in the ITV soap – went off on one tonight after his uncle Caleb sleeping with his wife Tracy, insisting the affair was too much for Caleb to be forgiven for.
However keen fans will no doubt remember that Nate deliberately seduced his stepmother Moira in a plan to destroy his dad Cain.
And he was and remains forgiven for it.
Tonight, walking into Moira’s kitchen, Nate apologised for being late and she asked him to feed the cows.
“I’m running a bit behind after rushing Caleb to hospital with Sam,” he told her as Moira pretended she knew nothing about it.
Nate added: “I found him doubled over in pain near the village hall. He said something about his stomach.
“I might not like the guy but I couldn’t leave him to suffer, could I?”
But as Moira continued to give vague answers to hide the fact that Cain was in hospital visiting Caleb as they spoke, Nate didn’t clock on.
He told her: “Listen you don’t have to watch what you say about me, you know.
“I know Cain’s got my back when it comes to where Caleb’s concerned.
“I know it sounds daft at my age but for the first time it feels like he’s finally trying to be a proper dad to me.”
Looking visibly uncomfortable, Moira replied: “Of course he is, but that doesn’t mean he has to be one or the other, does it?”
Nate told her: “After what Caleb did to me? I can’t see there’s any going back from that, can you?”
“No no, I suppose not,” said Moira, conveniently ignoring how Nate set out to seduce her into having a long-running affair to get one over on his own dad Cain.
But how will hypocrite Nate react when he discovers Cain is close to repairing his relationship with Caleb?
