AN Emmerdale killer has made a shocking confession about a long-forgotten murder.
In tonight’s dramatic episode of the ITV soap Moira Dingle confided in a struggling Charity Dingle as she fell apart about killing Chloe Harris’ dad Harry.
Charity shot and killed Harry over Christmas after he kidnapped and tortured Mackenzie – and she’s been struggling to cope.
In tonight’s episode Moira realised just how hard Charity was finding things she forced her way into her house to make sure she was OK.
Charity tried to force Moira to leave but ended up breaking down as Moira told her: “You’re exhausted Charity. You’re not a killer. If it wasn’t in anger, then you’re not a killer.”
She snapped back: “What would you know?”
Moira broke and confessed her own dark secret: “Everything. Because I did do it in anger. I am a killer. What I did was much worse.”
The farmer added: “You don’t need to know who. It tore me to pieces but I’m still here. That’s all I’m trying to say to you Charity.
“Cain saved me. I hadn’t slept for weeks. Mine wasn’t a gunshot, mine was a push. And it played in my mind on a loop until I didn’t know what was happening anymore.
“So I drank until there was peace. And then when that didn’t work anymore I bought some pills and I was about to take them before Cain came in and stopped me. I told him.
“Adam took the blame. I killed Emma Barton and I meant it.”
A shocked Charity said: “I thought you were going to tell me about something when you were younger. You pushed her so why did Adam go on the run?”
Moira told him: “He was already a prime suspect. I confessed to the police, I told them everything but they thought I was just a mum trying to protect her son.
“And Adam didn’t want Isaac to grow up without his mum so he protected me.”
Moira explained how Emma had goaded her into pushing her by insulting her kids adding: “When she was falling, she smiled. She actually smiled at me because she knew I was going to suffer.”
But will Charity be able to keep Moira’s secret or will Moira have made a huge mistake?
