EMMERWAIL Emmerdale’s Rhona Goskirk charged with kidnap but there’s a horrifying twist for baby Ivy

EMMERDALE’S Rhona Goskirk has been charged with the kidnap of baby Ivy with a shock twist for the baby.
The vet – who is played by actress Zoe Henry in the ITV soap – was arrested last night for taking Ivy without the consent of her legal father, ex-husband Gus Malcolm.
In tonight’s episode Rhona was held in custody for questioning, unable to understand why she couldn’t go home.
Under questioning she revealed how Gus had stolen her identity to gain access to the previously fertilised eggs from their failed marriage, to use with his new wife Lucy.
She begged the police to investigate and stop Gus from fleeing the country with Ivy.
And while they did, there was an unintended consequence for Ivy that left Rhona horrified.
As she asked if she could go and care for Ivy now, the police detective informed her that with Gus in custody, Ivy was being taken into care under social services.
“No, you can’t, you can’t, she has a family and a loving home where she belongs,” Rhona said.
“I won’t allow you to do this. You’re not doing this. She is my child.”
“It’s not up to you Ms Goskirk,” the detective told her. “You’ve no parental rights over Ivy and as much as you’d like to you can’t make decisions on her behalf.
“I appreciate it’s an unusual situation but we have to abide by the law. Three days ago you rented a cottage, packed Ivy’s belongings and took Ivy there without Mr Malcolm’s knowledge or consent.”
And then she dropped a bombshell on Rhona, charging her with kidnap.
She added: “I’ve spoken with the CPS and they are satisfied there’s enough evidence to bring a case against you.
“Rhona Goskirk, we’ll be charging you with the offence of kidnap.”
