EMMERWAIL ‘What’s the point?! rant Emmerdale fans as they demand ‘annoying’ character is axed from soap
EMMERDALE fans have been left demanding one character is axed from the soap after complaints that she is annoying.
In a recent episode Ruby Milligan rumbled the ongoing affair between her husband and Tracy Metcalfe.
Tracy’s hubby Nate was left devastated when she decided to split up with him out of the blue.
Ruby developed some suspicions that the reason Tracy ended the marriage is because she had been stepping out on Nate with someone.
And she ended up hitting the nail on the head when she guessed that it is her own husband, Caleb Milligan, that Tracy is entangled with.
However, viewers were unhappy that she quizzed her son Nicky about the situation.
While they were alone in the house she asked: “You wouldn’t happen to know who the homewrecker was, would you?”
After her son responded that he didn’t know, she became more insistent with her line of questioning.
Ruby continued: “Let me put it differently, is your father having an affair with Tracy?
“Is your dad the bad guy in Nate and Tracy’s love story?”
Nicky was completely taken aback by the accusation, responding: “What, that’s insane.
“I know dad can be reckless at times, but he isn’t having an affair with someone in the family.”
The angered lad went on to say that Caleb wants to kick Ruby out of the house after she caused issues with the Dingle family.
Ruby apologised for quizzing him about her suspicions, but viewers did not feel sympathetic towards her predicament.
One Emmerdale fan shared: “I know what Caleb & Tracey have done isn’t right but I’m really not liking Ruby.”
Another agreed: “Just a minute. What is the point of Ruby? All she does is drink coffee/booze & sit walk around eavesdropping.”
A third hit out: “When is the annoying Rubber Ruby gonna do one?”
Another said: “Being rude and aggressively unpleasant doesn’t make Ruby a strong woman. It just makes her insufferable. The sooner they kill her character off the better.”
And another added: “Ruby is obnoxious! I hope her stay in the village is a short one!”
Someone else suggested: “Ruby is like Marmite, you like her or you don’t. She’s giving me Mad Meena personality vibes minus being a serial killer.”
