EMMERDALE viewers are convinced that one show legend’s exit is ‘sealed’ amid their current devastating storyline.
Fans of the ITV soap opera have been left heartbroken in recent weeks as they watched Chas Dingle, played by Lucy Pargeter, come to terms with the fact that she is suffering from breast cancer just like her mum.
Chas’ mum Faith passed away from the disease after a lengthy battle with the illness in heart-wrenching scenes as Chas was left a weeping wreck by her passing.
The Woolpack owner has also been dealing with the likelihood that the disease is a genetic problem forcing the rest of her direct relatives to undergo testing to see if they are carrying the cancer gene.
Her family have been aiming to support her through the ordeal but it has become clear that Chas has been struggling to cope with it.
Last week, she bravely underwent a double mastectomy in the hopes of getting rid of her cancer.
Fans sobbed as they saw her in the hospital bed recovering from the operation but it has left many wondering that her death could actually have been sealed.
With the story already having been branded a “carbon copy” of Faith’s ordeal, it has left some fans questioning if it will end in certain death too.
Seemingly suggesting that history will once again repeat itself, one fan penned online: “Wasn’t gonna drink tonight but Chas is probably gonna die so #Emmerdale.”
Another then added: “This Chas storyline is an almost carbon copy of her mum #Emmerdale.”
A third couldn’t help but take a woeful view as they begged Chas not to get ahead of herself: “‘It’s gone, the fears gone. I’m gonna be ok’ aw Chas, maybe. Who knows just yet, unfortunately…”
Someone else quickly echoed: “Unfortunately, Chas shouldn’t be happy just yet, as I said this happened to my mum. And unfortunately, it came back with a vengeance and spread so fast #Emmerdale.”
Whilst a fifth shared an ominous message that read: “Chas Chas Chas don’t ever EVER say it’s gone in soapland for anything cos they’ll just….”
Despite fears that she could be killed off, actress Lucy previously confessed that she would never quit the show and if she were to leave then it would have been a decision taken out of her hands.
The star said: “I don’t think I will ever make the decision to leave myself they’ll have to write me out, but even then they’d have to drag me out kicking and screaming!
“I’ve got a job that I love and I’ll stay as long as they’ll have me.”
