Viewers were also distracted by a scene in the vets featuring Belle Dingle.

EMMERDALE fans have been left wondering if a ‘missing’ character had been ‘hiding’ after their sudden return – before they immediately started meddling.

Tuesday’s episode of the ITV soap saw Eric Pollard accept a billiards challenge from Amit Sharma in The Hide.

Eric, who is suffering with Parkinsons, has no idea Amit has a dastardly plan in-store for him.

As the pair played, Eric’s grandson Jacob Gallagher watched on, as did his girlfriend Victoria Sugden as she worked her shift at the venue.

Emmerdale viewers were surprised to see her, as they felt she had been missing from recent episodes.

However, some were soon irked by her interrupting Eric and Amit and chipping in after Eric snapped at his partner Brenda when she arrived to see how he was.

Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one viewer wrote: “has victoria been hiding in the, well, hide all this time?? she’s been gone long time.”

Another added: “I notice Victoria’s back and sticking her nose in where it’s not wanted again.”

A third moaned: “Do Victoria and Matty do any actual work.”

Meanwhile, other Emmerdale viewers were distracted by a scene at the vets.

It saw Suzy visit Belle – who had been roped in to help on reception – to find out why she hadn’t been in touch about the job available at Take A Vow.

However, Emmerdale viewers were too distracted by all the animals in the vets reception – including a big dog and a large white rabbit – to concentrate on the dialogue.

Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one wrote: “The animal cast booker: ‘Yes can we have the largest dog and largest rabbit in the world please.'”

Another added: “Animals? In the vets? Stop the press.”

A third tweeted: “Are they really big animals in the vets or are the owners really small?”
