HOPE LEFT Truth about Heath Hope’s death finally revealed in bombshell Emmerdale spoilers
One family knows the truth about Heath's death and they're trying to cover it up.
HEATH Hope tragically died after a joyride gone wrong and his sister Cathy has been blamed for his death.
However, the truth finally comes out in the open next week in Emmerdale and an arrest is made as the real culprit struggles.
Cathy Hope (portrayed by Gabrielle Dowling) welcomed the new year by organising a joy ride with her twin brother Heath and their pal Angelica King (Rebecca Bakes) as they were planning to head to a party in Hotten.
Unfortunately, the evening turned to chaos and tears as the trio were involved in a crash which led to Heath Hope being fatally injured.
Heath died in the crash almost instantly and Cathy, who had been seen at the wheel of Wendy Posner’s car moments prior, was immediately blamed.
But during her police questioning, Cathy insisted she had actually given Angelica the chance to drive and she was really responsible for Heath’s death.
Both pals are throwing the blame on to one another, with a grieving Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) standing in the middle, desperate for answers and almost fully convinced that his daughter is lying due to her long track record of poor behaviour.
However, after Heath’s funeral, Angelica revealed the truth to her mother Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) and admitted she had been driving at the time of his death.
Coming up, Nicola urges her husband Jimmy (Nick Miles) to discuss what’s next for them.
With the funeral over, the Hope family’s focus shifts to the police investigation and Cathy lashes out when Bob suggests waiting for the forensic results.
Jimmy, despite knowing the truth, continues to blame Cathy for the crash, and makes the decision not to confess to Angel driving.
Nicola is uneasy when Jimmy tears a page out of his villainous dead brother Carl’s book as he tells Angel to lie to the police.
The following day, members of the King family try to act normally, but Jimmy is guilt-ridden to witness Bob’s suffering.
Angel then overhears her parents talking about Bob’s struggles and wanting to end all the lies, runs and publicly confesses in the B&B to Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop), Cathy and April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan).
Soon at the police station, Angel officially confesses to having been the driver and is terrified when she is arrested for causing death by dangerous driving.
